Right now the count is 9yes/12no. You can either wait for the remaining 3 GMs to vote and hope they all vote yes, or you can pull it and re-work it.

For the record, I voted "Yes". Is Iggy worth more - hell ya...Could this still be a good deal for the Preds - you bet...
The Preds GM has posted a couple of occassions that Iggy, amongst others, was on the block. Evidently, this is likely the best deal he received. It's all about supply and demand and what people are willing to give up at a certain time.

The main reasons I rejected it were:
1) Its not a fair deal. 2) The Preds GM is new. If this deal was submitted by a longer standing GM I would accept it, but we've had several instances when a new GM comes in, decides on a big youth movement, deals all of the teams talent, and then books it.

Don't worry...I'm not going to be leaving the league...plus I'm still hanging onto some big names; Zetterberg isn't going and I'd only deal Lecavalier for a guaranteed return, plus I have Anderson, Stoll, Bouchard, Burns, etc. and a really good lineup of young defensmen. I look forward to developing my team the way I want it. I do see the legitimacy of those who voted no, Turris hasn't proven himself yet, I think it will take him a while but he has great potential. I probably should have asked for more to go along with him; mabye this deal would've been more fair if Iginla was on his last year of contract.

It takes a bit of time to learn the value's of things, all 3 new Gm's are struggling a bit with that, but improving all the time. You guys did great in FA, if you stick around the rest will come. It's a drag, but most of us have had trades rejected at some time or another.

I voted to pass the nashville - monty trade, seems fair to me since all 3 players monty is gettin are ufa with 1yr contracts. Nash is rebuilding to some extent, and wisly so, he had a ton of ufa's with 1 yr. contracts.

So from what ppl tell me its about even to pass/reject my trade... and let me tell you, that really pisses me off.
Realistically the only reason ppl would block this trade is they dont want to see my team bulk up. Why do i say this you ask? lets take a look:
would you reject any of the following trades?
Sourray for jackman : A UFA D with elite ratings for a 27 year old D with 3rd-4th pairing ratings and min 5 years of contract elegibility
Mtl 1st 2010 for mitchell : A low 1st for a 2nd pairing UFA defenceman seems about right to me, not to mention a low pick for a 27 year old RFA 2nd liner is being passed as we speak
butler and brindamour for horcoff: A great up and coming defenceman on BUF (if you dont know him do a bit of reading or ask another GM) with a min contract and a year until he gets a good rating and brindamour (who is only in this deal for salary purposes, though hes also haveing a great preseason) for a UFA 2nd line center
If im off on my logic here let me know, i just dont see how ppl think this trade is unfair.

I pass all trades. I don't care who's involved. I trust the other GM's in the league. I pass everything. I'm the Adam Oates of trade votes. And I just rhymed. I'm a rapper. Motherfuckers?
