I first tried to be a seller... and nobody was buying... and then i tried to add a bit of defense to take a run at the 8th spot.. and then teams wanted to buy.. to be honest, didnt think I'd get seconds for Drury and Hecht, so now I'll be looking to still see if i can compete as I've added two guys that can defend (Skrastins and McKee) and switch around some things.. either way they both come off of the books next season and I'm two second rounders richer.

quote] What are you thinking Ron?![/quote]
I wanted Richards, Carlson, Williams, got Gionta to help this year, Joffrey to help in next few year and Teubert in futre. I am hppy which is all that matters and if you all are worried about Chris - make your temas better and don't hold and over rate your players LOL
all that matters is that team works for me and i do what I like, trading is the best part to me and I build a pretty good team that compete with everyone. Only 4 teams have won!

I think the league can pat itself on the back, for speed on approving a ton of trades over the last couple weeks. Great Job Guys, the old man is proud of all you guys. You guys make the league what it is, a great one.

I agree with what Ron says... a lot of teams overvalue their players and in turn only move when they're getting players back of the same calibre. I guess thats why you dont see as many buy and sell deals as you'd see in the NHL.
Regardless, i guess everyone has their price that they will set for their players and that is respectable.

People expect you to trade half your team away for 1 guy, who no longer benefits you because he has nobody to play with. <shrug> I'm still in good shape for next year, I'm more than happy to just build and stay the course and take good deals as they come along. You traded for a big impact this season, but do you think you can beat SJ? If not, then its all rather pointless, yes? Just saying. You basically gave up years of good seasons to lose to SJ in the Finals (at best), but thats just my opinion.

Why isn't anyone talking about how I got Rob Niedermayer? I was just going to say that the Oil's addition of Niedermayer makes them a co-favorite for the cup with the Sharks...Nice to see a genius GM at work ;D

As well as Sharks play this year, I still think that Turco may be a liability, plus Richard is only 25 and Carlson is what 20, plus Williams has better number then Brown for next seaon. I have bigger probelms then that LOL

I'm going to move Vermette to the fourth line and see what Niedermayer can do on the first line. Don't think I'm joking, cause I will do it. Maybe I'll give one of them a rest and play Begin. No way I don't beat San Jose. I only said it because it rhymes. I'll do it again. No way I lose to the Blues. Works every time. I will win my games with the Flames. Again, success. I just Niedermayer everything. My team won't suck against the Canucks. Dr. Seuss is in the house. I don't personally know the GM of the Rangers, in fact it is true that he and I are strangers.

Also Gavin, you should know me being I am here from opening season, but whenhave I ever kept a guy for more then a seaon, I mean look at my trade history. I don't love my guys like some do. I play in the league to experience everything from games, roster moves to making all kinds of trades and no one is safe on my team. I probaly had half the players that are playing today at one time or another on my roster LOL
I am thinking I have bigger problems with cap because of rush to get deal through so I will not be competing. Sucks when working and trying to do this and lose focus. but if this is the worse thing that goes bad for me today, then life is good

I think Turco is suffering from his NHL reputation right now... he's been one of my best players this season

Da coach is wound up and ready to try and take that trophy away from Eug. Toronto stacked though, it will be tough, don't under estimate smart GM's, there are alot of ways to try to win.
