Imagine we get a Jets/Panthers finals?! I would laugh, and give the rest of you guys my psychiatrist's number. Yeah, or a Yankees Cardinals finals. Idiot. This is hockey, not football.

Make that 3.
One of the best forwards and the best d-man in the league for Seguin and the hope that Scheifele comes back from injury and remains good? Seems a bit much to me.

And roughly $8 million more to spend in free agency next year. And Seguin will get a sweet rerate, right Jake! And Letang had a stroke.

But Letang is already back with the team, at least practicing, he'll be fine.

Even if everyone was 100% healthy, these players straight up is questionable at best.

Woah, i feel like everyone needs a reality check here. Seguin = one of the best players under 24 in the NHL, and will be a 75OV next season on a 500K deal! Scheifele is solid, and will be fine injury or no injury long term. Bergeron = probably the best two way C in the league BUT is 28 on a pretty expensive deal. Letang = 68OV (low DU) at best next season on a 4.5 mil deal.
Even if you think Seguin and Scheifele is cheap for Bergeron and Letang, it's not 70-30 cheap. It's 55-45 at best.

Seguin will be elite for ten years. I'm giving that up to take a shot this year. A lot of you know I wouldn't even discuss Seguin. James had to promise me two hjs to pry him away from me.

Also, i know Letang is skating with the team now and should be back at some point. But if you guys think a stroke will not affect his game in any way long term, then you might need to look up what a stroke is. Truthfully i look at him as a UFA in this deal, because having a 68OV offensive dman with a 4mil+ contract on your roster isn't ideal. Trust me, I've had Yandle for a while!

Once you guys say your piece, let's not continue to Hawk the trade. The guys in the league are not stupid.

Once you guys say your piece, let's not continue to Hawk the trade. The guys in the league are not stupid. Sorry Ray, but that simply hasn't been the case in some of the recent deals. I recall plenty of hawking on some of my trades, some pro some against but still passionate hawking. If someone gives their piece on why they think it's a lopsided deal, then it's only fair that someone gives the opposite opinion. And i recall everyone agreeing that opinions should flow freely in this thread, even as the trade is being voted on. As long as the subject stays on the trade and players involved it's fine. We get in trouble when it starts getting personal and people's integrity comes into question. Keep the trade in focus and hawking is fair game.

The vote is close which means the league is on the fence, of the 5 rejects only one has said his thing, yet you guys keep going on and on. If it's fair why do you feel the need to sell it. lol

I don't want it rejected, because it's a fair trade. I'm passionate about my team and my time. If I can show someone on the fence why it's a good deal, why wouldn't I?
