Congrats Chris you truly deserved it, and i wouldn't be surprised if you 3-peat next year. I did as best as I could have asked of my team, and to me winning the conference was like winning the cup.. Once again congrats! Good final Now time to rebuild...

Congrads Chris, on your 2nd Cup in a row. Good final match. Way to go guys, this is for sure a tough league and gettin better all the time. It's an accomplishment for sure. Congrads to Eug - makin the finale is tough, as you well know. I think one needs to rest his goalie in the playoffs, when the chance presents itself, a lesson I learned last season. Your goin down next season, Calgary Chris lol everyone gunnin for The Red Machine.

After recovering from my week long drunken binge thanks to losing in the conference finals, i see that toronto took calgary to a sizth game. Nicely done, thats 2 more games then the NYI would've played. I agree with eug on the fact that winning the conference would've been the same as winning the cup. Congrats to both of you for a supurb season. Now we have a long layoff. I believe calgary owes me a thank you for wearing down the leafs And at the end of the day, i would rather see the flames win the JGHL stanley cup instead of the NHL stanley cup. Nicely done sharks!

I'd like to thank the Academy...whoops, wrong speech...lol
Thanks guys for all the congrats...
- great praise from Jersey Ron, The COACH! - NYI Phil - yeah man - huge thanx for runnin down Eug's Leafs before I even faced them - definitely helped my cause! Besides going to a game 7 the series couldn't have been much more closer - Lehtonen kept Kipper fresher for the OT win in Game 6...I'll probably start a 2 wk celebration binge now...lol...and especially since I got a grade 2 calf strain (medial gastrocnemius strain to be exact) playing ball hockey last week - I'm out 6 wks!...sucks! - CapsMan: yeah nice to give Olli his ring - he fit in real nice! Wish da NHL Flames coulda landed him this yr! - & Philly Ray: The Big Red Machine will be ready to roll again next season...lol...
I'll 2nd Coach's thanks to Jon & Gavin - without them, this great league wouldn't be possible!!! Awesome job as always guys!
I hope we hang on to most all, if not all, of our GMs for next season...in the meantime, let's continue to keep in touch...now's the time to get ready for the offseason: preparation for the entry draft, free agency & of course trading!!!
Cheers!

Malkin for Conn Smythe:
The Flames are reportedly campaigning for Malkin for the Conn Smythe. The JGHL rookie was the Flames most consistent and dangerous player night in & night out. While other will undoubtedly get consideration: Marc Savard, Olli Jokinen & Heatley, Malkin was definitely most valuable throughout the playoffs. Jokinen & Heatley were more streaky, although they faced some tough defensive strategies from some great couaches in the playoffs, which took some pressure off Malkin's line throughout. Healtey & Jokinen did come through in the crunch as well, having a magnificent Cup-clinching Game 6, with Heatley notching the Cup winner in OT.
Flames players themselves offer not much of a comment and instead give credit to the whole team effort, from coaches to players to goalies to the GM...
