That 25% increase is now 35% increase btw.

That wasn't posted in the new rules 2nd draft... the only 35% I see is the 35% decrease in salary after a player is dropped.

GM Fuhr is pumped for the unassigned players that could potentially help this team down the line. We have put together a list of 30 players the hope will be to grab five of them over the course of the signing period.
Shea Weber like Minnesota from what I hear.

Rumors are circulating that Roberto Luongo has been traded. As more information gets in we will keep you informed. Sources close to Kevin Fuhr says its for a package of good youth.

The Wild dealt Markov for Campbell today, It was lateral move at best, Markov is a little better defensively while Campbell hits more. They both bring the same amount of offense too. The positive of the deal though was Campbell is signed to a four year deal already, this means I can go out and find a good RFA or UFA by seasons end and offer him a deal with only a 35% increase. A pretty big positive moving forward.
also note the Luongo deal may not pass the league and as upset as I could be with that ruling I will move on and look to move him in another deal but I doubt I can find as much talent and cap space as I just had done.

Rumours are running rampant that the Wild have made a significant contract offer to a top pairing defenseman and a future number one goalie. When asked to comment GM Kevin Fuhr said he could not deny or conform the reports.

I may be blind but I missed must have missed the guy who is a curretn top pairing guy. I have ben wrong inthe past though.

The Wild today picked up Ryan White 2nd in the WHL in points and has shown an improvement in his dedication of the game. Could be a 2nd line center down the line.
Mathieu Carle also joins the Wild. Possibly the best offensive defenseman in the QMJHL. Could be a second pair defenseman and help QB a PP.
