Hell yeah, Free Agency is upon us gentlemen!
Give that player you think is worth it that 10 million dollar contract. It's your team!
Outbid those teams that are in your division because damnit, you can't let a division rival get the player you want!
Already an exciting first day of bidding.

Lots of teams with lots of cash and lots of good players. I think this is the real fruits of removing the old 5 year contracts from UFAs.

Exciting is an understatement! I really like how we're getting to the point a lot faster this year. Sometimes we get cute and go by increments over days. This time it's like fuck it, here's 9 mil cause this jabroni is getting it eventually anyways. Very refreshing.

Why cap the amount you can give a player?

Why cap the amount you can give a player? Its just better to have a cap. Otherwise certain player contracts could get a bit insane and handicap a team too much, you might say "well thats their fault" but when they quit and we gotta find a replacement with a terrible contract they gotta deal with cause someone breaks a leg and sits for half the year. Plus its there to help the bottom teams acquire players to be as competitive as they wanna be with the tie-breaker.

There should be some sort of rule like that except for draft pick dumping.
